Adult Mentorship

Volunteer Description

Summary: Adult Mentors embody the Lemon Aide Society’s core beliefs. They focus on relationship building, offering guidance and support as our Lemon Aides and Teen Mentors learn about themselves, their community and how they can make a difference in the world. 

Responsibilities:

• Provides mentorship to Lemon Aides and teen mentors 

• Attends monthly chapter meetings and assists girls in implementing the Lemon Aide Society’s leadership and social justice curriculum

• Guides project leader through the stages of program development and evaluation

Qualifications:

• Experience working with girls and teens 

• Effective communicator 

• Reliable, dependable and a strong work ethic

• Positive attitude and a desire to work with diverse sets of individuals and groups

Time Commitment:

• August -  May  

  • Monthly Sunday Chapter Meetings (2 hours)

  • Monthly mentor development meeting (1 hour)

  • Facilitate monthly Project Leader mentorship meetings (1 hour)

  • Monthly preparations and planning (1 hour)
